Mullock Library General Catalogue

This list contains every book in the Basilica Museum–Mullock Library. The books are sorted by author in alphabetical order. Each entry is in MLA format. In some cases, there is additional information for the sake of clarity. After the MLA entry, the cabinet, shelf, and call numbers are provided in brackets.

The cabinets are numbered beginning with the cabinet labelled Philosophy, proceeding clockwise. Thus, Cabinets 1 and 12 are the closest to the entrance, while 6 and 7 are furthest away.

Each cabinet has four doors. Each shelf of the cabinet is labelled alphabetically beginning with the top left shelf behind the top left door, descending and moving right, then beginning again with the books behind the top right door, then the books behind the lower left door, and finally those behind the lower right door. For example, the shelves behind the upper left door of Cabinet 1 are labelled A-F; the upper right door, G-L; the lower left door, M-N; and the lower right door, O-P. The number of shelves varies for each cabinet, but they always follow this pattern.

Each book is then numbered based on its placement on the shelf, beginning from the left-hand side, proceeding to the right, then beginning again on the next shelf. In cases where books are stacked on top of each other, the numbers begin from the bottom and move up. If there are books in front of other books, the books in the back are numbered first.

Call numbers follow the Dewey Decimal system and are usually labelled on the spines of the books. Any books without call numbers are labelled "No Call #" in this list.

Any notable additional information, such as provenance or missing information, is included in square brackets after the call number.
