NAFEL Representatives, n.d.
Group photograph of representatives of Maritime and Newfoundland businesses and associations connected with NAFEL. From 1947 to 1959, Newfoundland exporters had to be NAFEL members in order to export salt fish. NAFEL identified markets, made sales, and then allocated those sales to their members according to their available stocks. Although their exclusive right to export fish ended in 1959, NAFEL continued as a voluntary organization until 1970.
