Gazela Primeiro, St. John's, n.d.
The Gazela Primeiro was a fishing vessel of the Portuguese White Fleet. The fleet frequently visited St. John's harbour during fishing trips to the Grand Banks in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. Foreign fisheries like this competed with Newfoundland in supplying the salt fish markets.
