Base Headquarters Building, Fort Pepperrell, c. 1950

Fort Pepperrell was also an important base for the United States Air Forces. The building shown in the picture was used as Headquarters for the Newfoundland Base Command (1941-49), the Northeast Air Command (1950-60), and the 64th Air Division and now the Canadian Air Forces, St. John's.
