Potato Beds Ready for Seeding, n.d.
Potato beds were, until recently, a common site in
Irish Newfoundland communities. Since many migrants from Ireland were sons of
small but viable farmers, or laborers on large and middle-sized farms,
they often grew crops after migrating to Newfoundland.
