The Pride of Detroit at Harbour Grace, 1927

The Pride of Detroit at Harbour Grace, 1927.
Aviators Edward Schlee and William Brock attempted to complete the first round-the-world flight aboard the monoplane Pride of Detroit. They departed Maine on 26 August 1927 and refuelled at Harbour Grace one day later. Their circumnavigation attempt ended in failure after an engine defect grounded the plane at Tokyo on 11 September.
