William Epps Cormack, 1796-1868
Explorer William Cormack described his 1822 trek across the island of Newfoundland in the Edinburgh Philosophical Journal. He later expanded and republished the account in 1856, under the title Narrative of a Journey across the Island of Newfoundland.
