Injured sealer, 4 April 1914
Medical personnel carry Ralph Mouland, a survivor of the 1914 Newfoundland sealing disaster, off the SS Bellaventure. As a result of his ordeal on the ice, Mouland’s feet were badly frostbitten and had to be amputated.
