WRCNS recruits leave St. John’s, 29 August 1943
A group of new recruits with the Women’s Royal Canadian Naval Service prepare to leave St. John’s for basic training in Galt (now Cambridge) Ontario. During the Second World War, 74 women from Newfoundland and Labrador served with the WRCNS.
