7th Field Company, 16 September 1944
Servicemen with the 7th Field Company, Royal Canadian Engineers check for mines on a road in Bergues, France. It was while mining a bridge with this unit in Germany that Harold Lester Pittman of Random Island, Newfoundland and Labrador died on 21 July 1944.
