Government and Politics: Hangman Game
The hangman game below is comprised of 25 words taken from the 'Government and Politics'
articles of our web site. These words correspond to those used in the crossword puzzle
for this section. We hope you find this game enjoyable and educational.
Playing Instructions:
The order of the 25 words used in this game are shuffled each time it is played. The clue
for each word is displayed in the game area and corresponds to those given in the crossword
puzzles for 'Aboriginal Peoples'. You can begin by typing in letters on your keyboard.
Correct letters appear in the answer area, whereas incorrect letters appear toward the
top of the playing area. You can make a total of six incorrect guesses.
On the seventh incorrect guess you will be hung. At any time you can click on the 'Next Word'
button to advance in the game.
You will notice that below the clue, the number of correct and incorrect
words are tabulated as you proceed. Once you finish the 25 words, the playing area clears
and the final statistics are displayed (Incorrect words, Correct words, Words skipped). At this
time you have the option to try again, in which case the words are shuffled and the game is
restarted.

The following is the sequence in which 'hangman' is drawn on the gallows:

- Torso
- Right Arm
- Left Arm
- Right Leg
- Left Leg
Please Note:
The game loads necessary sound effects as they are needed. If you notice a momentary
pause, it merely means that the game is loading one of the small sound files. (Sound files
range from 1-4 Kb in size).
