High quality ceramic bowl.
The bowl is of a high quality Terra sigillata ceramic, made in
Estremos, Portugal in imitation of Roman ceramics. It was found in
association with George Calvert's settlement in Ferryland and probably
belonged to somebody of an upper class standing because of its value. It
is an example of some of the wealth that existed in Ferryland during its
early settlement as well as possible trade routes.
