   1 1986 FELTHAM 50 The most common way of catching cod during the early days of [Bonavista Bay] island settlement was by 'cod-seine.' These were long nets that were shot around schools of cod in shallow water.
   2 Attrib cod-seine skiff.
   1988 GOSSE 26 This in turn required a cod-seine skiff, which was towed astern, since they were usually too large and cumbersome to be carried on deck.
