to the cross-beams of a sled. P 128-56 A good bunk chain is
necessary to keep the wood from falling [off]. T 43/8-64 You throw a bunch o' wood on
this bob-sled, and you chain it up with a bunk chain, and bind it up tight.
bunk sled: sled with stout transverse timbers on which the
logs rest between the runners. T 96/7-.641 That was a bunk sled.
Wagon sleds, some called them.
