in which a stick is placed on rocks and flicked up into air with another piece of wood;
PIDDLY, TIDDLY. 1973 BARBOUR 26 Spring also meant the playing of
different games, once the snow had disappeared... Hop-scotch was
the first on our list... After that came 'Flick the Stick.' . . for 'flick the stick,'
nothing, just nothing, took the place of the nice rounded broom which had been sawed into
two pieces.
