plants of the granitic barrens of Newfoundland ... Dewberry or Plumboy (Rubus
arcticus), Partridge-berry or Red Berry. 1916 HAWKES 36 The dewberry (Rubus
ar[c]ticus) is found in large quantities on the islands off the east coast of Hudson
Bay, also in Northern Labrador along the rivers. 1956 ROULEAU 29 ~ Rubus acaulis.
