referred to as dead-man's caps. dead-man's daisy, ~ posy:
common yarrow (Achillea millefolium) (1898 N S Inst Sci ix, 369).
M 68-16 Deadman's posy was a good cure for piles. Some people
called it yarrow. dead-man's dive: method of throwing a
stone into the water without making a splash (P 148-60).
dead-man's flower: meadow-sweet (Spiraea latifolia)
