	Anti-Confederate Side Your name for this activity is BERT KENNEDY. You oppose Confederation. You do NOT want Newfoundland to become Canada's tenth province. These are the arguments you use: We don't pay property taxes on our homes or our boats or our land. And that's the way we like it. That's the way it's always been. Just ask Canadians about taxes! They pay all sorts of them. Property taxes. Income taxes. A lot of taxes. If we join Canada, we'll have to pay taxes on everything-our homes, our fishing boats, our fishing nets, everything. Why should we join Canada and pay all those taxes? We must defeat this Confederation plan.
