The Detroit.
The Detroit piloted by Edward Schlee and William Brock, left Maine on Aug, 26, 1927 for a round the world flight attempt. Here, the Detroit refuelled at Harbour Grace on route to its next scheduled stop in Croydon, England. The plane made it as far as Japan before aborting the attempt.
