Sea Wall Bordering Southern Edge of the Pool.
The most extensively explored part of the original Colony of Avalon is the
eastern portion of the waterfront, probably completed during the early years
of settlement. The first construction was a sea wall (indicated by white line)
that bordered the southern edge of the Pool. The present-day land to the north
of the sea wall (left of the sea wall in the above picture) has all been
deposited since the 17th century.
