   1977 Them Days ii (3), p. 13 The Labrador Duck, known also as the 'pied duck' and the 'skunk duck' was common on the Labrador coast until about 1842. It measured approximately twenty-nine inches long. The males were black with white heads and markings and the females were greyish-brown above and greyish-white below.
