Henry Tremblett House

Built for successful Bonavista fisherman Henry Tremblett around 1900, this house is noteworthy because of it by the Strathie family.

It is quite unusual to find such an elaborate home owned by a fisherman. Normally, the wealthiest people in the outports were the merchant families. The Trembletts used the dwelling as the family residence from the time of its construction until 1993, when they left it vacant.

The Heritage Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador designated the Henry Tremblett House a Heritage Structure in March 1996.
