Protest March

An organized protest march for the benefit of sick miners, widows and dependents. Members of the St. Lawrence community lost numerous family members and loved ones as a result of industrial disease. Approximately three hundred people died due to diseases related to working in the St. Lawrence Mine. Such a devastating loss prompted citizens of St. Lawrence to protest and call on both the government and the mining company to to compensate the sick, widowed, and orphaned.
