Bonne Bay, 2006
Bonne Bay is in Gros Morne National Park on Newfoundland's west coast and encompasses several outport communities, including Rocky Harbour, Norris Point, and Woody Point. Although tourism has created some jobs in Bonne Bay, the collapse of the cod fishery has forced many residents to move elsewhere in search of work. At Rocky Harbour, for example, the population dropped from 1,138 in 1991 to 978 in 2006.
