891. Order of the King in Council. That several heads of inquiries to the Commander-in-Chief of his Majesty's ships now going to Newfoundland
approved by the Lords of Trade and Plantations are hereby referred to the
Lords of the Admiralty to give instructions accordingly. Then follow the
heads of inquiry concerning the trade of the French there, the trade with
New England, the number of planters, destruction of woods and stages, the
boat-keepers, number of ships, &c. (Col. Entry Bk., Vol. XCVI., pp. 63-65.)
