Philippe Pastour de Costebelle.
Costebelle was the last French governor of Plaisance, serving from 1706 to 1713. In 1709 he
initiated attacks on English settlements, and captured St. John's. This portrait of
Costebelle is located at the Castle Hill Interpretation Centre.
