The Brule Boys in Paris by Tickle Harbour.
Music has played an important role in the performing arts revival in Newfoundland
and Labrador. Groups such as Tickle Harbour have contributed significantly to this
resurgence. The cover painting entitled Brule by Newfoundland artist Gerry
Squires was commissioned by Tickle Harbour for this album. It has since become a well
known work of art in the province. Brule (or Bruley as it is sometimes spelled),
was a small community on Merasheen Island in Placentia Bay. The community has since
been abandoned.
